War Crimes are violations of international law, committed in wartime by both the Axis and the Allied Powers. One of the most major war crimes committed during WW2 was the Holocaust.
The concept of war crimes was introduced at the Potsdam Conference, so that the Nazi leadership could be put on trial for their actions in an international court.
