The Knorr-Bremse Paratrooper Rifle was a prototype assault rifle developed by Knorr-Bremse AG for Germany during World War II.

Description[]

The Knorr-Bremse was 800 mm long, and was chambered for the 7.92 x 57 mm rounds and incorporated a muzzle compensator and side-mounted magazine, which was fed into the back of the gun, making it one of the first bullpup assault rifle designs in existence.

History[]

The Knorr-Bremse was proposed for use by the Fallschirmjäger (paratroops). Only a few are known to still exist, with some parts missing. The weapon never got past prototype stages. Details surrounding the rifle are scarce.
